Spring flowers semi-double 15cm. bluish-mauve later with single creamy bluish-white flowers, anthers light brown. This has the vigour of 'Jackmani', but it is remotely a "white jackmani". Spring and autumn flowering. (xB) Strong grower!

Spring flowers semi-double 12cm with crimson, slightly purple (Doge Purple) tepals, later with single of a clear crimson colour, anthers contrasting yellow. Strong growing and free flowering when established. Spring and autumn flowering. (xB)

Flowers deep purple with reddish tinge, tepals x5-6. This is one of the best late purple clematis, anthers greenish beige. (xC) Summer and autumn flowering.

Large white flowers with dark maroon anthers. Tepals have attractive wavy edges. (Named after the late actor whom had a passion for white flowers). (xB)

Flowers pale whitish pink 12cm across, tepals x6 overlapping with a satin sheen, anthers dark red. Midsummer to early autumn. (xB-C) Vigorous.

Cl. armandii 'Jefferies'
The true Cl. armandii 'Jefferies' has never been available in NZ. The one sold here is in fact not an armandii, but Cl. finetiana.

An exceptional montana, fully double cream, sometimes with pink/opal tinged flowers. Vigorous, easy grown. October-November. (xA). This is unconditionally the best montana available: compact, small grower (3x3m), more than twice the flowering season than the rest and it is a double! And what’s more; it’s bred in New Zealand!

Flowers creamy-white 10-12cm, tepals x4-6, nicely pointed and crimpled edges, anthers pale yellow. Midsummer-early autumn (xC) Best in a hot climate, like the east coast.

Flowers large up to 23cm with very pointed overlapping tepals x6-8, very light pale rosy with deep carmine veins and edges, anthers reddish-purple. (xB) Keep these extremely large flowering out of wind.
